Come to our Sunday Morning Devotional Services On the 1st Sunday of Every Month 11am to 12pm
Our long established inspirational and spiritual devotional service continues the tradition of Nan Mackenzie, Don Galloway, Ivy Northage, Marjorie Osbourne and many others who have addressed our congregation. Each month the committee invite a well-respected inspirational medium to give their address through working with spirit, their guides and helpers.
By addressing the congregation as whole rather than through direct one to one communication our once a month Devotional Sunday Service provides a meaningful and spiritual inner connection between oneself and spirit. It brings a quiet, peaceful depth of insight that can have great meaning to you personally. Our thoughts and attitudes might be questioned, our truth encouraged, strengths and weaknesses touched. Spirit can allow this time to be precious and very important to you. You can take the time to sit feel and listen and be inspired by what you notice and inwardly sense in the safety of our beautiful church.
The main purpose of the devotional service is to allow more time for the inspired address to be developed by the medium’s guide. It also allows time for personal reflection from listening to the address and the readings.
Spirit will be aware of who has come to the service and an inspired address and even the ‘inspired’ selection of the readings, will often have relevance to many in the congregation.
Mediums work in different ways. For example a medium may link with their guide before coming to the Church and receive an indication of the topic that their inspired address will be about. Another medium might be inspired by a word or a phrase from listening to the readings during the service.
Developing confidence in inspired speaking, is simply learning to put self aside, trusting and handing over to your guide and giving the words that you receive. It is therefore excellent practice for mediumship.
“The less of me, the more of spirit, the better medium I will become.”
We hope you will come and continue your spiritual learning with us and look forward to welcoming you.
