This guidance is for anyone attending The LSM during the current Covid-19 situation.
Please consider carefully your physical attendance. We will continue our Sunday morning Zoom meetings and our Tuesday evening Zoom meditations to allow everyone access to spiritual support and growth.
Anyone showing symptoms of COVID-19 (a new continuous cough, a high temperature or a loss of, or change in, their normal sense of taste or smell) MUST NOT ATTEND the LSM due to the risk that they pose to others; they should self-isolate at home immediately with other members of their household.
The NHS has written to around 2.2. million people who are considered to be extremely clinically vulnerable to COVID-19, advising them to shield. They are still be advised not to attend places of worship indoors. We therefore srongly discourage attendance from people who fall into this category.
Certain groups of people may be at increased risk of severe disease from COVID-19, including people who are aged 70 or older, regardless of medical conditions. Individuals who fall within this group are strongly advised to stay at home and, if you feel you need to attend, take particular care to minimise contact with others outside of your household.
Advice for both the clinically vulnerable and extremely clinically vulnerable is however advisory and you can choose how to manage your own risks.
On entering and leaving The LSM, everyone, including staff, should use the hand sanitiser provided. Face masks are mandatory everywhere on LSM premises. If using the toilet then you should wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds using the soap and water provided. Avoid touching your face and to cough or sneeze use a tissue which is binned safely, or into the crook of your sleeved arm if a tissue is not available.
Only the main front entrance of the church is to be used for entry and exit. The side entrance is reserved for the chairperson, the visiting medium and for any required administrative duties. Therefore please observe the signs and observe strict social distancing. Allow time and space for yourself and others to enter and exit.
In case of fire or other emergency all exits and entrances can and should be used.
It is very important to continue observing social distancing inside and outside of the church. Only members of the same household may sit together.
Both toilets are available. The internal church toilet must not be queued for. Please wait in your seat or outside the church until it becomes available. No queuing inside is to allowed to ensure safe passgeway for those entering and exiting the church. as there is not enough space otherwise for social distancing. Use of the toilet under the archway is therefore strongly encouraged and queuing may take place there.
During the service we will play music and prayers will be given from the platform. Sadly, no singing will take place. Please do not touch the hymn books and other items in the pews of the church. No collection will be made. Anyone wishing to give a free will offering can use the donate button at the top of the page on this website.
Nevertheless, despite all the precautions, we are very much looking forward to our church reopening and welcoming people to ourservices.
